Company orders 100,000 electric cars to reduce fuel consumption
As the call for climate actions increase all over the world, world largest firms such as Amazon and Google have committed themselves to spending big on green energy plans. Amazon has made a commitment to be carbon neutral by 2040 while Google said it is ready to make a record renewable energy purchases.
In the same light, the e-commerce company, Amazon, said it has ordered 100,000 electric delivery vehicles to reduce fuel consumption. This was done in order to meet its aforementioned commitment. According to the company, the first is expected to enter service in 2021.
