Drug intended to shorten recovery time by four days.
The British Department of Health has announced that it will begin a clinical trial of a drug called remedesivir for the treatment of COVID-19 patients. According to the department, early data from clinical trials around the world showed that the drug could shorten the recovery time of COVID-19 patients by four days. The Health Minister explained that they would be prioritizing the use of the treatment to provide its greatest benefits as he calls it the biggest step forward in the treatment of the Coronavirus since the crisis began.
