Belarus' Main Opposition Leader Forms New Political Party

New political party called ‘Together’.

Belarus main opposition leader, Maria Kolesnikova and a team of jailed opposition figures have announced the formation of new political party. The announcement was made in a video by the leader from an unknown location. The political party was said to be called ‘Together’. It would be recalled that Viktor Babariko, who is a major proponent of the new political party was detained and excluded from the last Presidential election in the country. According to Babariko, one of the new party’s agenda will be constitutional reforms. The party’s formation is coming after three weeks of protests on the reelection of the incumbent President.
