Fresh protests arise in Algeria against President Bouteflika's fifth term agenda
Following the announcement of Algerian President, Abdelaziz Bouteflika's interest to contest for presidency for the fifth time, fresh protests by students have rocked the North African country. Demonstrations began on Friday when tens of thousands of people took to the streets and villages across the country to express their disapproval of the move. 81 years old Bouteflika who has been in power since 1999 was again chosen to run for fifth term by Algerian ruling coalition in the presidential polls slated for April 18th 2019. President Bouteflika is currently confined to a wheel chair as a result of a health condition.
