Abubakar Adamu Chosen to Succeed Ibrahim Idris

Mohammed Abubakar Adamu has been decorated as the new Inspector General of Police by President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria. President Buhari formally decorated the new acting IG at a ceremony at the Aso Rock Villa assisted by the outgoing IG, Ibrahim Kpotun Idris who has officially retired from service at the age of sixty. Speaking to the State House correspondents after his decoration in Abuja, the new Police boss thanked Buhari for considering him worthy to be the next boss of the force, he promised to work diligently to tackle the Nation’s security challenges and fight violent crimes.
