Nigeria’s foreign policy under President Buhari X-rayed by Nigeria Institute of International Affairs at a conference held in Lagos
Nigeria’s foreign policy under President Mohammadu Buhari, formed the premise of discussion at a one-day conference organized by Nigeria Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), which held in Lagos, South-West, Nigeria. In attendance at the conference were members of the academia, senior researchers of the NIIA, and other stakeholders. Seasoned veterans in the academia took advantage of the conference, to properly examine and assess the success of the international policy trust of the Buhari administration, proffer solutions and arrive at conclusions that will aid in creating a blue print for future foreign policy for the nation. Despite differing views on the matter, all stake holders agreed that irrespective of the progress made thus far, there was need for the nation to have a clear cut direction for its foreign policy going forward.
