The union plans to carry out its proposed march to the ANC headquarters
The biggest union of South Africa’s Eskom, the National Union of Mine workers has disclosed its lack of confidence on its CEO and most of its board members. The union has said that it will go ahead with the planned march to the ANC headquarters and the utility house to protest the unbundling of the power utility of the Eskom. The union has planned to go into a meeting with the eight members on the power utility and discuss the contents of the meeting and discuss a way forward, although it didn’t say if the outcome of the meeting would change the planned shutdown, but says any member accused of sabotage at the power utility will face the consequences.
