Automobile giants; Toyota, recalls over a million cars, world over to fix Airbag problem
The Japanese automobile giant, Toyota has issued a safety recall notice to recall just over 1 million vehicles worldwide due to faulty airbags. According to the report, it was discovered the air bags of the affected cars, could inflate without an auto-crash or fail to work if there is a crash.
The recall covers about 17 000 Scion xA vehicles in the US from 2004 through 2006.
Also affected in Japan, Europe and other parts of the world are the Isis, Avensis, Avensis Wagon, Allex, Wish, Corolla, Corolla Spacio, Corollo Verso, Corolla Fielder, Corolla Runx, and Sienta, which were built from July 2002 to June 2015.
Affected vehicle owners will be contacted and dealers will replace the airbags by December for free.
