Unprecedented global impact made with the over 24 hours prayer marathon.
The 12th edition of the Global Day of Prayer with the man of God, Reverend (Dr.) Chris Oyakhilome and the final edition in the year, 2022 was held from Friday, December 2nd through to Saturday, December 3rd with millions participating from across the globe. It was an over 24 hours prayer chain replete with offering sweet-smelling incense to God in ceaseless prayers.
The prayer expedition was opened by the man of God, Reverend (Dr.) Chris Oyakhilome. After a brief exhortation, he led the global congregation to pray non-stop for all nations of the world for a stretch of one hour making prophetic declarations. The prayer marathon then continued to traverse all continents of the world as senior ministers in the LoveWorld Nation and ministers from partnering ministries across the globe took turns to exhort and lead the global congregation in heartfelt prayers. From Nigeria to the United States of America, India, Romania, Brazil, South Africa, Ghana, the UAE, Sri Lanka, Hungary, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Lebanon, Egypt, and more, the prayer chain has continued non-stop with God's saints praying fervently in tongues and in diverse human languages.
Prayers were offered for peace in the nations, for children, and youths, for ministers of the Gospel, and for the salvation of souls. Prayers were also offered for various sectors of the economies of nations including the media, government institutions, financial institutions, the health sector, and more. Fervent prayers were made for the Church and Christians to be severed from attacks by wicked men and lots more. As the saints communed with God in prayer, He also spoke to His people, evident in the Spirit-inspired prophetic declarations concerning peace in the nations, the advancement of the Gospel, the victory of the Church, and more uttered by different ministers of the Gospel as they led in prayers.
As taught by the man of God, Pastor Chris, you cannot divorce prayer from offering true worship to God in songs. In the course of the program, the anointed LoveWorld Singers from different nations led in glorious songs of worship to God, orchestrating an atmosphere of rejoicing and the celebration of answers to prayers.
The round-the-clock prayer marathon climaxed with a phenomenal final session with our man of God, Pastor Chris on Saturday, December 3rd. Reading from the holy scriptures exhorted the global congregation on the effectiveness of the prayers of the saints stating that the adversary has not relented in his schemes, therefore God’s people must not be weary of praying. He again led the global congregation to pray all manners of prayer as inspired by the Holy Ghost for another one-hour stretch. Afterward, he further exhorted and again led the congregation in a concluding prayer session.
