More decency expected at Nigeria's 2019 general elections as INEC introduces new measure to check vote-buying during the elections
Ahead of the 2019 general elections in Nigeria, the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the introduction of a new measure on ballot paper handling at polling units to check vote-buying. This was disclosed by INEC chairman, Mahmud Yakubu at a public hearing in Abuja organized by the national assembly joint committee on INEC to sensitize the general public on vote-buying and improving electoral practices in Nigeria.
