Authorities Declare National Emergency as Locusts Invade India and Pakistan

Locust numbers more than worse in two decades.

Tens of thousands of locusts have invaded the northern and central states of India. The locusts are penetrating into the agricultural lands making peace of themselves in large parts of three different places like Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. Despite the efforts of the authorities in spraying the areas with pesticides, the locusts invasion has continued to increase. This is coming as the country also faces the tragic effects of the novel Coronavirus pandemic which is affecting most nations of the world. According to reports of the United Nations, millions of livelihoods and lives are at risk because of the invasions.
